Maternity Session

2018 | Year in Review | Shelby Chari Photography | Mon Chari Boudoir

2018 was a year for the books that’s for sure. I started the year off relocating not only my family but my business! After building Shelby Chari Photography from the ground up in the Northern Indiana area for nearly 8 years- We packed up and moved to Western Massachusetts. I was apprehensive, scared, nervous, excited, delighted…pretty much every emotion you can think of but it has ended up being the BEST adventure.

I traveled back and forth 6 times in 2018 for some of the most beautiful weddings and got to squeeze in so many amazing portrait sessions at the same time. I am literally SO thankful to my Indiana clients who have stuck with me throughout this process and who scheduled their lives around ME. Literally insane. I am so honored to keep capturing your love. Now to my Massachusetts clients- You guys! You welcomed me with open arms and I am SO thankful to those of you who took a chance on me.

Being in New England definitely has its perks- We’ve been able to travel all around taking in our new home. We visited New York City a couple of times and fell in LOVE with the city. I even got to travel out of the country this year to the Do More Photographers Boudoir Camp- Camp Do More where I met so many amazing boudoir photographers and friends. We have made SO many new friends along the way who have made this place feel like home.

In 2018 I photographed 52 BEAUTIFUL boudoir clients, 37 AMAZING families & portraits, and 15 UNFORGETTABLE wedding days.

To those of you who graced my camera in 2018, THANK YOU. There are simply no words for how grateful I am for all of you.

To those of you who will grace my camera in 2019, I CANT WAIT!!

Anna&Adam {South Bend Maternity Session- Shelby Chari Photography}

I have known Anna...well, for a very very long time. We went to elementary school together and became very close in High School. I am so thankful for her friendship over all these years. I am thankful to consider her wonderful husband, Adam, a friend too. For anyone who knows Anna they know that she is... "a loud human" as she puts it. ;) She is spunky and wild and full of joy and its one of the things I admire most about her. Adam is her perfect compliment as he balances her out and seeing the two of them together is pure love. I attended their wedding nearly 3 years ago and when she told me this past year they were expecting their first little love I couldn't have been happier. Sweet little Eloise is due to arrive any day now, Literally ANY day now. I was absolutely honored when they also asked me to capture Ellie's arrival. If you have been keeping up with my work you may have seen that I shot my very first birth on NYE for some very close clients/friends of mine. Births aren't something I am planning to offer year round with wedding reservations, but if the opportunity comes about in my off season...I don't know that I will be able to say no. :P There is simply nothing else in the world like watching a human being take their first breath. I am sitting on pins and needles awaiting your arrival sweet Ellie. Here are some of my favorite shots from Anna & Adam's maternity session. Xoxo
