I first met Lisa & Nick earlier this year after being referred to them by a friend to photograph their wedding day in just 8 months. One thing I really love about including engagement sessions in all of my wedding packages is that it gives me time to get to know my bride & groom before their big day! Not only does it help them to be comfortable with my camera in their face but they get to know me a little more too! Being a wedding photographer is more than just showing up on someone's wedding day and taking photos. I want to CAPTURE and tell the story of your love on one of the biggest days of your lives. I pride myself in creating a relationship with my clients before, during, and after their weddings. Lisa & Nick are big Notre Dame fans so shooting their session on campus was absolutely perfect and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day!
The Millea family is extra close to my heart. I have been photographing them since Trey was still in his momma's belly and now he is TWO! I love being able to watch my clients grow. Words seriously cannot express how special that is to me. Corey, Bri, and Trey are anything but ordinary and absolutely fantastic. Sessions with them are a BLAST and there is never ever a dull moment and there is guaranteed to be a hint of Blackhawks gear sprinkled in. ;) I loved being able to capture them, well, being THEM. Here are some of my favorites from Trey's two year shoot!
I have known Anna...well, for a very very long time. We went to elementary school together and became very close in High School. I am so thankful for her friendship over all these years. I am thankful to consider her wonderful husband, Adam, a friend too. For anyone who knows Anna they know that she is... "a loud human" as she puts it. ;) She is spunky and wild and full of joy and its one of the things I admire most about her. Adam is her perfect compliment as he balances her out and seeing the two of them together is pure love. I attended their wedding nearly 3 years ago and when she told me this past year they were expecting their first little love I couldn't have been happier. Sweet little Eloise is due to arrive any day now, Literally ANY day now. I was absolutely honored when they also asked me to capture Ellie's arrival. If you have been keeping up with my work you may have seen that I shot my very first birth on NYE for some very close clients/friends of mine. Births aren't something I am planning to offer year round with wedding reservations, but if the opportunity comes about in my off season...I don't know that I will be able to say no. :P There is simply nothing else in the world like watching a human being take their first breath. I am sitting on pins and needles awaiting your arrival sweet Ellie. Here are some of my favorite shots from Anna & Adam's maternity session. Xoxo
Earlier this year I announced I would no longer be offering posed studio Newborn sessions. I won't be stopping newborns altogether but simply gearing more towards a lifestyle look and feel for my work rather than posed/prop photos. I scheduled a few last newborn sessions for early this year before I work on getting rid of my extra newborn props and turning my studio space into a bigger office. Sweet baby Landon is the very last baby boy I have had the pleasure to photograph in the posed newborn style. One thing I will miss most is the downtime waiting for babies to fall deeply to sleep so we can pose them, I love just gawking at beautiful new babies with new parents. I love seeing the joy in their eyes. I went to school with Landon's mom & dad so seeing them become new parents was really something special, I am so happy to have been able to capture their sweet new baby boy and all of his newness. Here are some of my favorites from his session.
